Before the motor is installed, connected or run, a nameplate photo, the measured values, the order documents and the condition of the packaging should be put on record. Because a product that has been installed or run may lose its eligibility for return, work should be stopped as soon as a dimensional difference is noticed and the supplier notified in writing.

Records to prepare
- Order documents: order confirmation, order code, invoice and delivery note.
- Nameplate photo: a clear image in which the model, serial number, power, speed and voltage can be read.
- Measurement record: shaft diameter and length, shaft height, foot hole spacing, flange dimensions; the measuring instrument and measuring point should be stated.
- Comparison: the product page or technical drawing showing the expected value, and the difference from it.
- Packaging: the state of the packaging before and after opening, and whether any accessories are missing.
Is there really a difference
In some cases the difference lies not in the motor but in the expectation: the old motor's dimensions may have been confused with the new order, the flange type misread, or the frame number mistaken for a similar size. Having two people measure independently and compare the result with the technical drawing rules this possibility in or out.
After notification
The records are sent in a single message. If the product does not match the order, the solution is determined together with the supplier. If it turns out that the buyer chose the wrong size and the product still meets the return conditions, it can be exchanged for the appropriate model; any price difference is notified and shipping is borne by the buyer. Transport damage is a separate matter and requires a report to be made with the carrier at the time of delivery.
You can check dimensions against DRG technical drawings, and review the return and exchange policy for the exchange process and the relevant model in the shop list.
