The supply process at DRG Motor is fast and transparent. When you share your needs (power, speed, mounting type, quantity), our team proposes the most suitable product together with stock and delivery information. Many motors are available with a fast delivery option from stock, and we provide technical advice during installation and commissioning.
Supply steps
- Defining the requirement: power (kW), speed or number of poles, voltage and frequency, mounting type (B3, B5, B14, B35), frame material, protection rating and quantity are clarified. When replacing an existing motor, a photo of its nameplate is the quickest route.
- Technical fit: shaft diameter, flange size and frame size are checked against the machine, and alternatives are suggested if needed.
- Quotation and approval: the product, stock status and delivery information are sent; shipment is planned after approval.
- Receipt: on delivery, check that the nameplate data match the order and that there is no transport damage.
Installation points to watch
- Mount the motor on a flat, rigid, vibration-free base, with all feet seated evenly.
- With couplings, eliminate shaft misalignment; with belt drives, align the pulleys and set the correct belt tension.
- For motors stored for a long time, measure insulation resistance before commissioning.
- Make the star or delta connection according to the supply voltage, the nameplate and the terminal diagram, and do not forget earthing.
- Set the thermal-magnetic protection to the rated current and check the direction of rotation with a short start.
After commissioning
During the first operating hours, monitor current, noise, vibration and housing temperature. With our technical team's guidance, your motor starts running smoothly with the correct connection, alignment and protection settings.
