Write each motor as a separate line and send all lines in a single request; put the information common to all lines (delivery location, invoicing company name, preferred dispatch arrangement) once at the top of the request. The quote then arrives as one document and the lines do not get mixed up.

Skeleton of the request
- Header information: Company name, delivery location, contact person, and whether the motors will be collected from the warehouse or shipped.
- Line information: Line no., machine name, kW, speed, frame preference (aluminium/cast iron), mounting arrangement, quantity.
- Uncertain lines: For motors whose power or speed is not certain, a note saying “assessment requested” and a nameplate photo.
Collecting lines with the site tools
If the models are known, you can add them to the quote list from the product cards in the store and send the list in one go. If the model code is not yet known, it is more practical to write the lines as a table in the quote request form. For lines you are unsure about, the motor selection wizard helps narrow down power and speed.
Managing the quote you receive
When you receive the reply, check that every line has come back with a model code; if a line is missing or has been replaced as an “equivalent”, ask about it before approving the quote. If quantity or power changes later, revise the same list and keep the line numbers instead of opening a new request; otherwise it becomes unclear which of two separate quotes is valid.
Points that are often forgotten
Freight is not included in the motor price; it is calculated according to weight, packaging and delivery location and confirmed in writing before payment. In multi-line requests, some motors may travel by parcel carrier and the heavy ones by palletised freight; knowing this from the start makes it easier to plan receipt. The store shows amounts both excluding and including VAT.
While preparing your lines, you can review power and frame options in the DRG three-phase motor list or on the three-phase induction motor family page.
