In series production, the information to be fixed is every value “embedded” in the machine design: model code, connection dimensions, voltage, mounting arrangement and terminal box position. These are verified on the prototype and frozen in a single reference file; every subsequent order is opened according to this file.

Contents of the reference file
| Group | Value to fix | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Full model code (including AL/GG and the K suffix) | So that no other frame of the same power is delivered |
| Mechanical | H, foot holes, shaft D×E, key, L | So that the baseframe and guard do not change |
| Electrical | Voltage and connection, frequency | So that the panel and cable standard are kept |
| Layout | Terminal box orientation, cable entry | So that the cable route is the same on every machine |
| Logistics | Packaging, labelling, batch size | Steady supply to the assembly line |
From prototype to series
Test the motor under real load on the first machine: do starting, temperature rise and vibration meet expectations? Then compare the dimensions of the motors in the first series batch with the prototype motor. For example, in the 1.1 kW 1500 rpm class, the DRG-90S-4-AL model is recorded with a 90 mm shaft height and a 24×50 mm shaft; the cast iron DRG-90S-4-GG model of the same power has the same dimension record, but a different frame material. If the reference file does not state clearly which one was approved, batches can get mixed up.
Target market and voltage
If the machine is going to different countries, the supply voltage and frequency may vary by market. Voltage or frequency requests outside the standard models count as products prepared specifically for the buyer and are not covered by returns; so the market list needs to be settled before series production.
Change management
Write into the order terms that any change in model or dimensions on the supply side must be notified in advance. Sharing the estimated annual quantity helps the estimated dispatch dates in the order confirmation to be given more accurately. You can add the 2D and 3D drawings of the model to your design file from the technical drawing page.
When choosing the reference model, you can review product pages such as the 1.1 kW 90S aluminium model or the aluminium frame motor family.
