If you see dents, tears, a broken pallet or wetness on the packaging, draw up a damage report together with the carrier's driver before accepting the motor. Then report the situation to DRG with photos on the day of delivery itself.

DRG-200L2-2 37 kW 3000 rpm cast iron frame DRG three-phase motor – damaged packaging on delivery

Why does the report come first?

A consignment accepted without signature or reservation is regarded by the carrier as delivered in good condition. Whether the damage happened in transit or afterwards then becomes open to dispute. The report is the basis for the claim against the transport company and for DRG to handle the process.

Step by step at the door

  1. Photograph every side of the packaging and the pallet fastening while the driver is with you.
  2. If possible, open the packaging together with the driver and look at the fan cover, feet, flange, shaft end and terminal box.
  3. Describe the damage in the report in plain words, such as “fan cover dented” or “foot broken”.
  4. Have the driver sign the report and keep a copy.
  5. Send the photos and the report to DRG together with the order code.

Packaging damaged, motor looks fine

External appearance is not always enough. A drop may have bent the shaft or knocked a bearing; such defects only show up as vibration or noise once the motor runs. So note “packaging damaged, contents to be inspected” on the report and do not install the motor on the machine until the assessment is complete. A motor that has been installed and run loses its return eligibility.

Damage noticed later

If hidden damage is found after the packaging is opened, report it with photos without delay; do not throw away the packaging material. The WhatsApp line +90 (542) 666 11 11 can be used for reporting. The full transport terms are in the delivery and shipping terms; if an exchange may be needed, also see the returns and exchange policy. For a new order, the three-phase motor shop can be used.
