DRG-355M1-6 160 kW 1000 rpm cast iron frame DRG three-phase motor – collection by your own haulier

What must be notified in advance

  • The name of the transport company, the driver's name and the registration number
  • Date and time window of arrival
  • Vehicle type: box body, open flatbed, van with tail lift
  • Whether the consignment is to be handed over in your name or the carrier's

If this information is sent in the same conversation as your order code, identity and handover checks at the warehouse go smoothly.

Choosing the vehicle for large motors

High-power cast iron motors are heavy and are transported on pallets. Confirm with your carrier that the vehicle's payload and body layout can take the load. When securing the motor in the vehicle, straps should go over the frame and the pallet; the fan cover, terminal box or shaft end must not be used as tie-down points. The load should be chocked so that it does not shift under braking or cornering.

When does responsibility pass?

Once the motor has been loaded onto the carrier you sent, the transport is governed by the agreement between you and your carrier. It is therefore important that the driver checks the packaging during loading and reports any problem before accepting the goods. It is also useful to find out your carrier's insurance cover in advance.
