IE3 Electric Motor Catalog
An IE3 electric motor catalog gathers, in a single reference, all the technical data a plant needs when selecting the right motor. Power, speed, mounting type, frame dimensions and... More Details
IE3 denotes the "Premium Efficiency" class defined by IEC 60034-30-1. IE3 motor efficiency is markedly higher than IE1 and IE2, which means substantial electricity savings and lower operating costs over time. In the European Union and many countries, IE3 has become the legally mandated minimum efficiency level within certain power ranges, and industry in Türkiye is increasingly moving towards this standard.
IE3 is an international classification showing how efficiently a motor runs at rated load. High efficiency is achieved by reducing copper losses, iron losses and friction losses. As a result, the motor heats up less, runs more quietly and lasts longer.
IE3 electric motors are widely preferred in pump, fan, blower, compressor, conveyor, crane and general-purpose industrial applications. Especially for continuously running systems, switching to an IE3 motor is one of the most effective ways to cut energy costs. Those targeting even higher efficiency can consider the IE4 motors and IE5 motors classes; the differences between these classes are also explained on our high efficiency motors page.
The DRG Motor IE3 range offers cast iron body, three-phase models with 3000, 1500, 1000 and 750 rpm speed options and a broad span from 0.75 kW up to high kW ratings. B3 foot, B5 flange and B35 mounting types are available.
DRG Motor IE3 motors are manufactured with high-quality materials and strict quality control, combining long life, quiet operation and high efficiency. For IE3 prices, speed/power tables and technical documents, review the DRG Motor range and determine the right solution for your business.
