IE3 electric motors represent the Premium efficiency class under IEC 60034-30-1 and have become the industry standard for energy efficiency. DRG Motor sells IE3 motors from stock across a wide power range.

What Does IE3 Mean?

IE3 defines the minimum efficiency a motor must reach at a given power and speed. It runs with lower electrical and mechanical losses, reducing energy consumption and operating cost in continuous service.

Where Is It Preferred?

The savings effect of IE3 motors is highest in long-running applications such as pumps, fans, conveyors and compressors. In many applications regulation also mandates a minimum IE3 efficiency class.

Product Options

The DRG Motor IE3 series offers 0.55–355 kW, 2/4/6-pole, cast iron and aluminum housings, B3/B5/B14 mounting and IP55 protection.
