Why Cast Iron Matters at 110 kW

At this rating the motor faces significant mechanical load and vibration. The cast iron frame provides high rigidity and vibration damping compared with aluminium, extending bearing and winding life. The thermal mass of the cast frame also steadies winding temperature during sudden load changes.

Typical Applications

The 110 kW motor is preferred in large centrifugal pumps, screw compressors, crushing-and-screening lines and large fan systems. While 4-pole, 1500 rpm is the most common choice, a 2-pole 3000 rpm version is also used for fan and compressor applications. B3 foot-mounted and B5 flange-mounted options ease integration with the existing plant.

Protection and Cooling

Class F insulation and IP55 protection let the motor run safely in dusty, humid environments. The frame fins and fan support the heat dissipation that matters at the 110 kW level, while S1 continuous duty allows the motor to run under uninterrupted load.
