Where 90 kW Is Used

This rating is preferred in centrifugal pumps at water boosting stations, screw air compressors, cooling-tower fans and medium-to-large crushing lines. The 4-pole, 1500 rpm version is the most common option, with 2-pole and 6-pole models also offered depending on the application.

The Effect of Efficiency Class

Because a large 90 kW motor runs many hours a day, its efficiency class directly sets operating cost. Choosing an IE4 motor over IE3 permanently lowers annual energy use on a continuously running line and recovers the higher initial cost in a short time.
