Prices of DRG Electric Motors

A motor price is quoted per rating, and the same kW figure can carry two very different prices depending on how the motor is built. What follows is what moves that figure and what does not.

What Moves the Price

Efficiency class, housing material, mounting type and speed account for most of the gap between two quotes for the same power. Stock position accounts for the rest: a rating held on the shelf is priced differently from one built to order.

Where the Motor Will Work

  • Industry and manufacturing: CNC machines, conveyor belts, pumps, compressors

  • Transport systems: electric vehicles, trains, tram equipment

  • Domestic equipment: washing machines, water pumps, air conditioners, fans

  • Agriculture: irrigation, feed mixers, ventilation

  • Automation: servo drives, positioning, control systems

What the Difference Buys

  • Lower energy draw across the life of the motor

  • Longer service life between overhauls

  • Fewer unplanned maintenance stops

  • Quieter running near operators

  • Less waste heat left in the room

Asking for a Quotation

A price can be issued once the rating, the speed and the mounting are known. DRG Motor quotes per model rather than per catalogue, so the figure you receive belongs to the motor you will actually receive.

Send with your request:

  • Rated power in kW and the speed in rpm

  • Mounting type and the shaft requirement

  • Efficiency class, if the plant has a standard

  • How many hours a day the machine runs

  • Quantity and the delivery date you need

With those five lines a firm price can be issued the same day.
