IE4 is the "Super Premium Efficiency" class in IEC 60034-30-1 and represents a step beyond IE3. IE4 electric motors minimise energy losses and deliver significant savings for facilities with high electricity consumption. Rising energy prices, sustainability targets and tightening regulations are rapidly increasing demand for IE4 motors.
IE4 motors have lower losses and higher rated efficiency than IE3. This difference translates into notable annual energy savings, especially for high-power, continuously running motors.
