This page focuses on a single question: in 2026, how much do you pay for a 1500 rpm (4-pole) three-phase motor at each power step? Instead of scattering the 2026 electric motor price list through the text, we gathered it into two tables: one showing 0.25–15 kW side by side by frame type, and one covering the cast iron steps from 15 to 355 kW. Every row shows both the excl. VAT and incl. VAT figure. After the tables we interpret how the cost per kilowatt changes as power grows and how that curve can be used in budget decisions.

Why Are the Tables Built on 1500 rpm?

Most applications such as fans, pumps, conveyors, geared drives and compressors use a 4-pole motor, so most customers asking for prices start with this speed. Keeping one speed fixed makes it possible to read the differences between steps as a function of power alone. 1000 and 3000 rpm motors are also listed in the shop; comparing different speeds at the same power is outside the scope of this article, so they are not included here.

Cells marked “—” mean that the frame type is not in the shop list at that power. For example, aluminium 4-pole options end at 11 kW, while there is no cast iron frame listed for 0.25 and 0.37 kW.

0.25–15 kW Step Table: Aluminium and Cast Iron

Since both frame types are offered at small and medium power, this range is shown in a single table. Rows are sorted by power; the IEC frame number is the same for both types.

How to read this table

First find the kW value you need, then move to the frame column that suits the operating environment. If your company can deduct VAT, use the excl. VAT column for budgeting; otherwise use the incl. VAT column. On the same row the cast iron figure is slightly above aluminium; the criteria for choosing between the two frames are a separate topic, so here we only give the price view.

15–355 kW Cast Iron Step Table

Above 15 kW, the 4-pole options in the shop list continue with cast iron frames. The frame number grows from 160L to 400M and the price steps widen accordingly.

Price per Kilowatt: What Happens as Power Increases?

When the tables are converted into excl. VAT cost per kW, a clear curve appears. The calculation is simple: the excl. VAT price is divided by the motor power. A few sample steps:

  • 0.25 kW aluminium (DRG-711-4): 13,209.00 TRY per kW
  • 4 kW aluminium (DRG-112M-4): about 2,740 TRY per kW
  • 11 kW cast iron (DRG-160M-4): 2,334.00 TRY per kW
  • 30 kW cast iron (DRG-200L-4): about 1,858 TRY per kW
  • 90 kW cast iron (DRG-280M-4): about 1,639 TRY per kW
  • 355 kW cast iron (DRG-400M-4): about 1,501 TRY per kW

At the smallest step the price paid per kilowatt is more than eight times that of the largest step. The reason is that even a small motor has a frame, shaft, bearings, terminal box, fan and end shields; these fixed items do not shrink in proportion to power. As power grows, the share of fixed items falls and the curve flattens.

The curve is not smooth everywhere

Anyone following the step table row by row will notice jumps at some transitions. For example, going from 90 kW (280M) to 110 kW (315S), power rises by about 22% while the excl. VAT price rises by about 49%, and the cost per kW climbs to 1,995.60 TRY. The reason is the change of frame number: moving to a new frame family means a larger casting, shaft and bearings. Within the same frame (e.g. 160, 185 and 200 kW in the 315L family) the increase is gentler.

How Step Jumps Affect Purchasing

This curve has a practical consequence: when your power requirement sits on the border of two steps, the cost of moving one step up is not the same proportion every time. At some transitions extra power comes at an almost proportional price, while at frame-changing transitions the same proportion of extra power is noticeably more expensive. So before automatically choosing the next step up “for a safety margin”, it makes sense to run these checks:

  1. Calculate the actual load power; the calculation tools were made for this.
  2. Mark the lowest step in the table that meets your need.
  3. Check whether the frame number changes at the next step up.
  4. If the frame changes, mounting dimensions and base compatibility change too, so include the extra mechanical cost.

From Table to Budget Figure: Three Short Examples

A few examples of turning the table figures into a real purchase list:

  • One 7.5 kW aluminium motor: 17,015.25 TRY excl. VAT, 20,418.30 TRY incl. VAT. For bank transfer/EFT payment, 3% is deducted from this amount.
  • One 45 kW cast iron motor: 76,219.00 TRY excl. VAT, 91,462.80 TRY incl. VAT. As it is a heavy frame, shipping must be planned separately.
  • One 132 kW cast iron motor: 253,764.50 TRY excl. VAT, 304,517.40 TRY incl. VAT.

Keeping the Table Current: When Do Figures Change?

The prices on this page are based on a list with a specific date. Motor prices may be updated from time to time depending on raw material and exchange rate movements; so use the table for preliminary budgeting and step comparison, and check the current figure on the product's shop page before ordering. The ratios between steps are usually more stable than individual figures; the shape of the price-per-kW curve remains a useful guide for decisions even when the list is updated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is shipping included in the table prices?

No. All figures are the motor price; shipping is not included and is paid by the buyer. Goods are sent through contracted freight and courier companies.

Is there a 1500 rpm motor above 355 kW?

In the shop list the largest 1500 rpm step is 355 kW (DRG-400M-4). If you have a different requirement, you can ask by phone or e-mail.

Why is the price per kW so high for small motors?

Parts such as the frame, shaft, bearings, fan and terminal box exist in every motor and do not shrink in proportion to power. At small ratings these fixed items make up most of the total price.

How is the incl. VAT column calculated?

The incl. VAT price is the excl. VAT price plus 20%, i.e. multiplied by 1.20. The two columns in the table match this relationship exactly.
