The DRG Motor IE4 series consists of three-phase asynchronous motors that lift energy efficiency to the super premium level. The range is designed for facilities seeking low losses and long service life on continuously running heavy-industry lines.

The Efficiency Approach of the IE4 Series

Under IEC 60034-30-1, IE4 denotes the "Super Premium" class. DRG reaches this class with higher fill-factor copper windings and low-loss lamination packs. As a result, the motor holds its efficiency at partial loads as well as at the rated point, adapting to a variable production pace.

Mechanical Build and Durability

The series is built with a cast iron frame resistant to vibration and impact. The IP55 protection class allows safe operation in dusty and humid environments, while F-class insulation leaves a margin at high winding temperatures. Bearings and shaft are sized for long maintenance intervals.

Speed and Mounting Options

The IE4 series is offered for 400 V / 50 Hz at two-pole 3000 rpm, four-pole 1500 rpm and six-pole 1000 rpm. With foot-mounted B3, flange-mounted B5 and face-mounted B14 options, it adapts directly to pump, fan and geared applications.
