DRG Motor's new-generation product family combines higher efficiency classes with a proven mechanical build to offer industrial plants across Turkey both a lower energy bill and a long service life. The design improvements let the motor deliver the same shaft power with less electricity and run at a lower temperature.

The Step Taken in Efficiency Class

IEC 60034-30-1 ranks efficiency from IE1 to IE5. New-generation DRG motors focus on the IE3 (Premium) and IE4 (Super Premium) classes; with lower-resistance windings and optimised slot geometry they cut copper and iron losses. On continuously running lines, this difference shows up in the energy cost over the motor's life.

Mechanical Build and Durability

The new-generation motors are built with a cast iron housing, IP55 protection and Class F insulation, rated for S1 continuous duty. The cast iron frame damps vibration and spreads heat across its surface, so winding temperature stays low and insulation life is extended. The mounting can be B3, B5 or B14 to suit the application.

A Wide Power and Speed Range

From 0.55 to 355 kW with 2-, 4- and 6-pole options (3000/1500/1000 rpm), the new-generation DRG motors cover almost all pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors and general industrial machinery. They suit a 400 V / 50 Hz supply and run efficiently at their rated point when the right pole count is chosen.
