DRG motors in the 90–120 kW range are designed to supply the main drive power of construction machinery such as crushers, screening plants, concrete batching plants and large conveyor lines. This class is the typical power band for heavy duties that need high starting torque and stable operation under variable load.
Requirements of the 90–120 kW Class
In crushing and screening applications the motor faces sudden load surges and frequent start-stop cycles. That is why motors in this class need a strong cast iron housing, reinforced bearing seats and high starting torque. They are usually specified as four- or six-pole, running at 1500 or 1000 rpm.
Durability and Frame Design
Grey cast iron housing is standard in this power band; it damps vibration, resists impact and keeps IP55 sealing in dusty, muddy environments. Class F insulation and wide cooling fins hold the winding temperature within safe limits even on dusty sites.
Suited to Field Conditions
Construction machines work outdoors under temperature swings and abrasive dust. DRG motors are supplied for these conditions with a reinforced terminal box, protective lubrication and S1 continuous-duty capacity. When needed, they are matched to a variable frequency drive for soft starting.
Field Power with DRG Motor
Izmir-based DRG Motor configures 90–120 kW construction-machine motors to the torque curve and mounting of the application. Share the load data of your crusher, screen or conveyor project and we will determine the right pole count and frame type together.
