Wide Power Range Different power options are available from 0.37 kW to 355 kW - DRG MOTOR are motors offered in a wide range suitable for different power (kW) needs. Selecting the correct power step is critical for efficient operation, long life and energy savings.

Choosing the Right Power Step

The right power step drives the load with a modest reserve. Too large and the motor idles at partial load with poor power factor; too small and it overheats long before its rated life is out.

Wide Power Range

Standard steps run from 0.55 kW up to 355 kW: fractional frames for small pumps and fans at one end, crusher and mill drives at the other.

Power and Speed Relationship

Halve the speed at the same kW rating and the torque roughly doubles. That is why the pole count is fixed at the same time as the power step, not after it.

Quality Control Before Shipment

Testing happens before shipment, not after a complaint: insulation resistance, vibration and balance measurement, efficiency and cosφ, and a loaded run. The same sequence applies to every power step from 0.37 kW upwards.

Where to Look Next

Our electric motor power and speed options guide lists what each step from 0.37 kW to 355 kW is normally used for. Tell us the load and we point at the step.

What Sets These Motors Apart

Windings are 100% pure copper, the body is cast iron, protection is IP55 and insulation is F class, built to IEC 60034 and the EU Ecodesign regulation. The motors come straight from the producer and sit in stock, which keeps both the price and the lead time short. The rest of the range is covered in our industrial electric motors guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the required power calculated?

Start from the driven machine: its load torque and speed set the power, which is calculated before any model is picked. Send those two figures and we do the rest.

Which power steps are available?

Anything between 0.55 kW and 355 kW, with the speed and mounting option the machine needs. Give us the driven load and we return a model number.
