The right pole choice directly affects gearbox size and energy use.

Efficiency Class and Running Cost

At high power the efficiency gap turns into tangible savings on the annual electricity bill. Under IEC 60034-30-1, IE3 Premium and IE4 Super Premium motors pay for themselves within a few seasons on continuously running (S1 duty) lines.
