Low-kW 1000 rpm electric motors, with their six-pole construction, are designed for small-power applications needing low speed and high torque. The low speed is advantageous where precise, loaded movement is required.

6-Pole Construction and Speed

On a 50 Hz supply the synchronous speed of a 6-pole motor is 1000 rpm; under load it runs at about 960 rpm. This low speed can reduce the need for a gearbox and allow direct drive.

Applications

Small mixers, slow conveyors, dosing units and machines needing low-speed drive run on low-kW 1000 rpm motors. Power is usually in the 0.18–5.5 kW range.

Protection and Mounting

IP55 protection and class F insulation are safe in continuous operation. B3/B5/B14 mounting options adapt to different layouts.
