A high-power electric motor is the driving force of heavy industrial applications that demand high torque and steady running under continuous load. Here power is not only a kW figure; it is the combination of starting torque, cooling capacity and mechanical durability. In its İzmir production, DRG Motor offers durable three-phase induction motors in the high-power range.

What Defines Power

A motor's real power is measured not only by its nameplate kW but by its ability to hold speed under load. Squirrel-cage induction motors produce stable torque even during sudden load increases. At high power, the quality of the lamination stack and the winding design keep heat under control, making continuous operation possible.

Cooling and Frame at High Power

As power rises, so does the heat produced; a cast iron frame and effective fan cooling are therefore critical in powerful motors. Class F insulation and IP55 protection let the motor run for many years without failure in demanding environments and S1 continuous duty.

Where Are They Used?

Stone-crushing and screening plants, large pump stations, fan and compressor systems, and crane and conveyor lines are the main fields for powerful motors. The 90–355 kW range is common in these applications; speed is chosen as 1500 or 1000 rpm according to the driven machine.

DRG Motor High-Power Motors

The upper tier of the motors we build from 0.55 to 355 kW comes for heavy duty with a cast iron frame, IP55 and Class F insulation, in B3/B5/B14 mounting options. If you need a high-power motor, you can determine the right option for your application together with DRG Motor.
