DRG Motor's range of low-kW and high-kW electric motors meets a wide span of power needs under one roof, from a small workshop machine tool to a heavy-industry crusher. The first step in choosing the right motor is recognising the application's true power and torque demand, investing in a motor that is neither undersized nor needlessly large.

Where Low-kW Motors Fit

Low-power motors in the 0.55–7.5 kW range serve small pumps, fans, conveyors and machine-tool drives. In this segment an aluminium frame offers light weight and easy mounting, while B14 face or B5 flange connections allow direct coupling to the machine. Even at low power, the IE3 efficiency class produces total savings in plants where many motors run at once.

The Strength of High-kW Motors

High-power motors from 30 kW to 355 kW come into play in large pumps, compressors, crushers and main drives. Here a cast iron frame provides vibration damping and mechanical strength, while Class F insulation and IP55 protection meet heavy, continuous operating conditions. At high power, the efficiency gap feeds straight into the energy bill.

Choosing Speed and Mounting

In both segments speed is set by the machine: 2-pole 3000 rpm for high-speed fans and pumps, 4-pole 1500 rpm for general-purpose drives, and 6-pole 1000 rpm for high-torque applications. The mounting type (B3 foot, B5 flange, B14 face) is selected to match the machine design.

Sizing the Right Power with DRG

İzmir-based DRG Motor covers the full range of low- and high-power needs with IE3 and IE4 motors from 0.55 to 355 kW. Share your application's power, speed and mounting data, and we will identify the motor that fits the requirement exactly, neither short nor over, and provide a current quote.
