Heavy industry machines such as crushers, large pumps, extruders and main drive units demand continuous power between 75 and 100 kW. This band combines high torque with uninterrupted running in four-pole motors. DRG Motor supplies cast iron housed motors in this range, built to withstand heavy-duty service.

Torque Character of the 75–100 kW Band

In this power range a 4-pole motor turns at around 1500 rpm and delivers high rated torque. For impact loads such as crushers and mills, what matters is a strong locked-rotor starting torque and a generous breakdown-torque margin; this margin keeps the motor running without stalling during sudden load surges.

Thermal Endurance Under Continuous Load

Motors of 75–100 kW usually run in S1 continuous duty, where winding temperature must stay stable. Class F insulation and IP55 protection guard the winding in the dusty, humid conditions of heavy industry. The cast iron housing, through its mass and external ribs, sheds heat over a wide surface and holds a steady temperature at sustained full load.

Mechanical Connection and Mounting

In this segment motors are mostly fixed to a base or chassis with a foot-mounted B3 frame and coupled to the load by belt and pulley or a flexible coupling. Large bearing selection and balancing ensure the heavy rotor runs without vibration and achieves long bearing life.

Selecting the Right Power for Heavy Industry

Measuring the machine's continuous power demand accurately is essential to avoid both under- and over-sizing. DRG Motor supplies from 0.55 to 355 kW; for your 75–100 kW heavy-industry application we can determine pole count, mounting type and efficiency class together from our İzmir-based plant.
