Advantages of Asynchronous Motors
A squirrel-cage asynchronous motor has no brushes and no commutator, so it keeps running in dusty plants with bearing service alone, at high efficiency and low operating cost. A wide power range and easy availability make them the most common choice.
Single-Phase and Three-Phase Options
Single-phase motors are powered from a 220 V supply for low-power applications, and three-phase motors from a 380 V supply for high-power industrial applications. Three-phase motors are more efficient and longer-lasting at the same power.

On a continuously running efficient motor the vibration figure is the one that predicts bearing life, so a unit outside the band is held back rather than shipped.
