A 3 kW two-pole machine is accepted or rejected on numbers taken at commissioning, not on a description in a catalogue. Before these Electric Motors leave the works, the rotor balance, the vibration level and the temperature rise are measured, and those three readings are what a plant should ask for on delivery.
The figures that matter at 3000 RPM: the rotor is balanced to G 2.5, vibration is held at or below 1.8 mm/s to ISO 10816, the winding is limited to 110 °C and the bearings to 80 °C. A machine outside any of them is not shipped, and a machine inside them can be trended against them for the rest of its life.
Vibration: What the Reading Tells You
The reading taken at commissioning is the reference. When a later measurement climbs toward the 1.8 mm/s limit while the load has not changed, the cause is almost always outside the motor — coupling alignment, a loose base bolt, a fan wheel out of balance — and finding it before the bearing does is the whole point of writing the first number down.
Cast iron in GG20/GG25 with cooling ribs on the body keeps the temperature steady under continuous load, and the winding is 100% electrolytic copper, vacuum impregnated against heat, moisture and vibration. Double-lip seals and high-temperature grease in the SKF or C&U bearings are what make the 80 °C bearing figure hold at high speed.
Temperature: Where the Ceilings Come From
The 110 °C winding ceiling and the 80 °C bearing ceiling are not warnings; they are the limits the S1 continuous rating is defined against. Optional PTC or PT100 sensors let the plant watch the approach instead of discovering the exceedance. On a compressor that starts and stops through the shift, that difference is what saves the winding.
The Test Report Behind Each Unit
Every 3 kW unit is run through load performance, insulation resistance, rotor balancing, vibration and noise analysis, S1 continuous duty, IP55 resistance and efficiency measurement. The report is the reason the figures above can be quoted as limits rather than as claims — ask for it, and keep it with the commissioning reading.

Reading the Figures Rather Than the Adjectives
The 2-year warranty and the nationwide service support behind a unit are worth what the measurements are worth. A motor delivered with a balance grade, a vibration figure and two temperature ceilings can be judged; one delivered with adjectives cannot. Send the driven machine and the start method and we confirm the configuration against those limits.
