Rated at 180 kW and running at a nominal 1000 rpm, this DRG motor is designed as a 6-pole unit for high-torque heavy-industry drives. It suits applications that demand high breakaway torque at low speed, such as crushers, mills, large conveyors and mixers.

Why 6 Poles and 1000 rpm

On a 50 Hz network a 6-pole motor turns at a synchronous speed of 1000 rpm. Lower speed means higher torque at the same power, allowing high-inertia loads to be driven with a smaller gearbox ratio. The slow, powerful rotation safely handles the shock loads of crushing and grinding lines.

Frame and Cooling

In this 180 kW class the cast iron frame provides rigidity under sustained load and vibration. IC411 surface cooling and IP55 protection guard the windings in dusty mining and aggregate plants, while Class F insulation leaves a high thermal margin.

Efficiency and Continuous Duty

Working in continuous S1 duty, this motor can be supplied in IE3 Premium and higher efficiency classes under IEC 60034-30-1. At high power even a small efficiency gain creates serious savings on the annual energy bill.

Adapting to Your Drive Line

B3 foot or B5 flange mounting, pulley/coupling choice and terminal-box orientation are set to the application. İzmir-based DRG Motor offers a current quotation and technical support for the 180 kW 1000 rpm motor.
